Join faculty and fellow students at the upcoming JEDC Innovation Summit in Juneau, February 15th and 16th!

The JEDC Innovation Summit is an annual event produced by the Juneau Economic Development Council to foster collaboration, productivity, and prosperity in our Alaska communities. If you are interested in attending the JEDC Innovation Summit please complete and submit the application form by January 18, 2017.

We will cover registration fees for students in Juneau and we will pay the registration fees and travel costs to Juneau if you meet the following eligibility requirements:

  • UAS SOM degree seeking student
  • Junior or senior standing or MPA graduate student
  • In good academic standing (2.0 or higher)
  • Should not have access to this type of professional development through employer

This opportunity is made possible by a generous donation from Northrim Bank that allows UAS School of Management students to attend and participate in professional conferences across Alaska.

Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs logo

The School of Management business programs have been approved for candidacy status with the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP). The Business Administration department maintains current membership with the ACBSP. ACBSP is a leading specialized accreditation association for business education supporting, celebrating, and rewarding teaching excellence. ACBSP’s mission statement is “ACBSP promotes continuous improvement and recognizes excellence in the accreditation of business education programs around the world.” The ACBSP accreditation standards are modeled on the Baldrige National Quality Program and its Criteria for Educational Performance Excellence.

The School of Management at the University of Alaska Southeast is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU), an institutional accrediting body recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation and the U.S. Department of Education.
