MBA Application

An application is complete and will be evaluated when the following are received:

1. Online application at http://uaonline.alaska.edu/; A $60 non-refundable application processing fee is required.
2. Official academic transcripts; sent directly from the college or university where you obtained your baccalaureate degree.
3. Three letters of reference sent directly from the referee. The referees should include someone familiar with your academic work and someone familiar with your managerial experience.
4. Your professional resume or vita.
5. A 1200 word statement (4-5 pages, single-spaced 12 point text) of professional objectives describing:

• your academic background, including when and how you completed the required  prerequisite courses. 
• managerial experience,
• current professional goals and objectives,
• how the UAS MBA program might help achieve your professional objectives, and
• how your background and experience will contribute to the quality of the discussion among program participants.

You may also submit such other documentation as you feel is relevant and important for our admission decision.

Application deadline: July 1, 2008. Complete applications received by this date will receive priority. Particularly strong applications received after the deadline will be considered if there are still a few slots available after the review of applications and admission decisions.

Review of applications begins mid-April each year to fill the 25 slots for each September MBA cohort. Applicants who have filed all documentation on time will receive priority, and can be notified of admission decisions by mid-May.  Applications completed before the July 1st deadline, may be reviewed early with particularly strong applicants receiving notification prior to the regular mid-May notification.

If you have already applied and have a complete file in the MBA office, you will automatically be considered in the review for admission into the next available cohort of the MBA program unless you notify the MBA Office that you wish to withdraw your application.
