“Summer” Update

1. Summer?
Hard to believe, but after spring semester, we call it “summer.” Jonathan will be available other than the first three weeks of July. Kathy DiLorenzo will also be available most of the summer. Fall classes begin the first week of September.

2. Advising Visits - Will you be around?
In mid June I will take a ten day drive around the region, and I hope to be able to visit with many of you. My schedule is:

June 16 -- Whitehorse

June 18 -- Delta

June 19 -- Fairbanks

June 20 -- Evening in Anchorage area

June 21 -- Kodiak

June 22 -- Dillingham

If you live in those areas, please let me know if you will be available.

3. Admission
If you have not yet be formally admitted, complete your admissions paperwork this summer. Recall that you must be admitted before you can take your fourth class. If you need to complete the Introduction to Government prerequisite and have not made arrangements or if you have any other questions, please let me know. http://www.uas.alaska.edu/mpa/howtoapp.htm

4. 2006 Commencement
The May 8 Commencement went wonderfully, and ten of your colleagues graduated. The video recording of the hour long ceremony is posted on the MPA website opening page. http://uas.alaska.edu/mpa
