More than $1,100 has been raised by the UAS community for fire victims.

As reported last week, the fire destroyed the Gastineau Apartments in Downtown Juneau left Darrellene Karlson, Audrey Rogers, and Joshua Reeder homeless. Since that announcement more than $1,100 has been raised by the UAS community alone, $636 was raised through the Wooch Een fry bread fundraiser.

Additional Updates:
Audrey, Darrellene, and Joshua have moved into UAS Housing for the remainder of the semester.

Student Government passed a bill on Monday of this week giving the students each $150.

All the door receipts from Year End Dance on April 21st at 9pm in the Rec. Center will be donated to the three. A donation jar will also be available for additional donations.

Two MAT students dropped off towels, toilet paper and a crock-pot at the Student Housing office stating that, “they had no money but wanted to help.”
