Admissions and IT Pilot New Online Chat Feature

SpikeLivePerson is an online chat feature that IT and Admissions and Registration departments are piloting for six months.  It was researched and brought to the attention of IT and Admissions by Web coordinator Dave Klein as a way of improving communications. The icon can be found by visiting the IT Helpdesk pages, or any of the A&R pages.

LivePerson allows Web site visitors to chat with a UAS staff member associated with the department from which the icon is activated.  LivePerson allows prospective students questions about financial aid, transfer audits, or housing, answered instantly. It could also help streamline communication for current students, faculty, and staff with IT questions or problems.  A copy of each communication is retained for follow-up and accuracy insurance.
