Summer Groups on Campus

It's not just the sun on campus this semester

Hydaburg carver TJ Young makes some of the first cuts in the new Eagle Pole being carved on the Mourant Courtyard through the summer.

Several groups are back on the Auke Lake campus this summer including: the Lousiana State University Marine Biology Project 6/8-3/30, the Campus Crusade for Christ Juneau Summer Project 5/20-8/7, the Latseen (Sealaska Heritage) Youth Leadership Camp 7/11-7/25, Research Experience for Undergraduates 5/31-8/8 and the Alaska Arts Education Consortium 7/27-8/7. The Perseverance Theatre STAR program for young actors is in its 15th year, 7/13-8/17. UAS academic programs are also on campus this summer, including the Summer Science Institute (Diana Gifford), Educational Leadership Program (Marty Laster), Reading Specialist Program (Mary-Claire Tarlow), Early Childhood Education Summer Institute (Susan Andrews), Educational Technology (Marsha Gladhart), ODS WFR Certification Programs (Forest Wagner) and various Masters of Arts in Teaching programs.
