UA Health in Action Update

By Mike Humphrey, Director of Benefits and WIN for Alaska

This fall, Individualized Health Planning Sessions (IHPs) will again be available on the Anchorage, Fairbanks and Juneau campuses. This is a premier health coaching program that has received the support and endorsement of the University’s Joint Health Care Committee. Any benefits eligible employee may sign up to participate; slots are limited and are available on a first come, first served basis. The program involves a series of six face-to-face sessions with an experienced Wellness Consultant who will help participants develop a healthy lifestyle plan. This program begins October 5. The first session is 60 minutes long and the follow-up sessions are each 30 minutes.

If you agree with an employee’s request to attend one of the WIN for Alaska, Inc. Health in Action programs or IHP sessions during work hours, it is not necessary for the employee to report leave on a timesheet.

More details will be coming to you about the University’s wellness programs and events. If you have questions, please contact WIN for Alaska, Inc. at customer service@ or Mike Humphrey, Director of Statewide Benefits at 907 450-8200.
