Regional Student Services Summit

In June, the Ketchikan Campus sponsored a Student Services Summit for the region.

The goal of the day and a half meeting was “to gather the learning support and student services staff from the three regional campuses for a conversation about providing walk in, dial in, or browse in access for students to key student learning and support services.” More than twenty-five individuals participated from departments including learning centers, libraries, financial aid, disabilities, advising, career counseling and bookstores. The group worked on the flow of services for students and ultimately provided recommendations to the Vice Chancellor for Student Services on how to keep the conversation going, how to create a regional strategy to address service gaps and how to implement ideas that were identified as priorities at the summit.
