UAS Sitka Campus Welcomes Lori Hart
Lori Hart, ANP. Ph.D. has joined the faculty at UAS Sitka Campus as the Associate Professor for the Certified Nurse Aide courses.
Lori
is licensed as a women’s health care
nurse practitioner with a primary
area of interest in women’s / infant’s
mental health issues. She has been
in nursing for 25 years, working
through the ranks of CNA/LPN/
RN/NP. She taught in the Nursing
and Family and Human Development
departments for 13 years at Weber State University and Utah
State University. She most recently taught in the online nurse
educator MSN program at WSU. Lori has a love for teaching
and learning about why and how individuals learn. She has
designed numerous online and distant education courses. She completed her Master’s degree in nursing at the University of
Utah and her doctorate in education from Capella.
Lori and her family moved to Sitka in January of 2005 from Northern Utah, but she has also lived in California, North Carolina, and Tennessee. She has been married for 28 years and has four children (only one left at home) and a beautiful granddaughter! Lori’s husband is an optometrist at SEARHC. She loves hiking, cooking, traveling, theater, and walking her spoiled labradoodle.
