New Associate Vice Chancellor for Administrative Services, Jim Danielson
Jim comes to UAS with a broad experience in higher education.
UAS welcomes a new Associate Vice
Chancellor of Finance and Personnel.
Jim comes to Juneau from Boston,
Massachusetts. When Jim is asked, “What
attracts you to Juneau?” “I like the
rain” he responds, “I really enjoy small
communities and Juneau has many of
the amenities of a larger city with a small
town feel.” Jim comes to UAS with a
broad experience in higher education. In
his most recent position, Jim worked as
the controller at Massachusetts College
of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. Jim
has also worked as a certified public
accountant with Deloitte in their higher
education practice group. “A major part of being a good
administrator at an institution of higher education” Jim says,
“is providing the information people need to make strategic
decisions.” Jim hopes to be an administrative resource for
faculty and staff and is looking forward to working with the
UAS community.
