A good turnout on a sunny evening. The Egan library was full Thursday evening, July 8 for a panel discussion on potential implications for Alaska of the Deepwater Horizon oil disaster in the Gulf of Mexico. Panelists were former Exxon Valdez Trustee Council Executive Director Jim Ayers, Dr. Jeff short, lead chemist on the Exxon Valdez oil spill, author Nick Jans and Mike Levine of Oceana. KXLL-FM Program Director Andy Kline moderated the event. National Commission on the Deepwater Horizon Spill appointee Fran Ulmer also spoke.
