New Manager of Institutional Effectiveness Named

Congratulations Diane Meador

Diane Meador is transitioning from her job as Registrar’s Office Manager to the new position of  Institutional Effectiveness Effectiveness Manager in the Office of the Provost.  Her past decade working at UAS includes practical experience with Banner, descriptive statistics, and gathering and reporting data.  Her B.S. in Computer Science and Ph.D.  in linguistics provide a solid academic background in technology and communication.

Meador’s new responsibilities will include working closely with academic administrators and faculty towards pro-active decision making and ensuring the effective collection, interpretation, analysis and dissemination of accurate and timely information.

"Vice Provost Carol Hedlin and I are very pleased that Diane Meador has accepted the position of UAS Manager of Institutional Effectiveness," said Provost Rick Caulfied.  "It is essential that UAS has an effective means in place for gathering and analyzing data about our students, programs, and services. These data are important for ongoing assessment of student learning, accreditation, program review, and making strategic decisions in fulfilling our mission. Diane has the skills and the knowledge from her many years of working with our three campuses to support faculty and university leadership in this role."

A priority of the Provost’s Office for the new position is to identify data needs expressed by faculty, deans, and university leadership.  Diane begins her position as Institutional Effectiveness Manager on December 6.
