Being Caribou: UAS Juneau One Campus-One Book

Biologist Karsten Heuer and filmmaker Leanne Alison will
visit UAS November 15-16, and will
be featured at the November 16 Evening at Egan. Their award-winning book, Being Caribou has been widely acclaimed
for its insightful account of their months-long journey following the Porcupine

Yukon College faculty member Randall Tetlichi of the Vuntut Gwitch'in First Nation will join us as Elder in Residence November 5-9, and will be the featured speaker at Evening at Egan November 9. He is widely respected as an esteemed teacher, community healer, and tradition bearer, and is featured in the 2012 UAS One Campus One Book selection, Being Caribou.
