Facilities carpenter and wearable art artist extraordinaire David Walker received the Wellington International Award at the international competition this year in New Zealand. His creation honored breast cancer victims and survivors. The prize was $5000 plus travel to and from the show and competition in 2013. Walker has placed in the top 3 in most of the Wearable Art fundraisers for the Juneau Arts and Humanities Council.
