Wednesday, November 20, 10 A.M. to Noon
UAS is writing a new website Content Guide. This presentation will be an introduction to the new Content Guide, how to use it, and how it works with the existing Style Guide. Writing for the web tips including voice, tone and audience will also be covered. Pease join Jenny Fremlin, PhD with Alaska Litho Media Services as she goes over the new content guide as a tool to help UAS develop a consistent web presence across campuses and educational programs. We'll review some of the recent updates to the website and make more improvements with hands-on activities applying the Content Guide. Regional Web Coordinator Dave Klein will also be demonstrating how to use SiteImprove to identify and fix spelling and broken link errors. Writing for the web requires unique skills and techniques to capture an audience’s attention. See you there!
