Egan Library Faculty Contribute Interview to Newly Published ACRL Book
Jennifer Ward (Outreach Services Librarian / Associate Professor) and Bethany Wilkes (former Information Literacy Librarian / Assistant Professor) co-authored a contribution to the Association of Colleges and Research Libraries publication: The Small and Rural Academic Library: Leveraging Resources and Overcoming Limitations; edited by Kaetrena Davis Kendrick and Deborah Tritt.
The book explores how academic librarians in such environments can keep pace with, create, and improve modern library practices and services, network with colleagues, and access continuing education and professional development opportunities. Additionally, this book acts as a resource on matters of human resources and management concerns that are unique to LIS professionals and paraprofessionals who serve at small campuses and in rural communities (from the publisher's website).
Jen and Bethany wrote: "Staff Engagement for Cohesion" which focused on our efforts with staff engagement and development, our growth in active programming and events, and effects we noticed in the workplace culture in our library and on the campus at large.
