On Tuesday, March 25th, staff and students joined in celebration of the five UAS student recipients of the Student Employee of the Year award. Last Fall, supervisors of student employees were asked to submit the names of student employees that exhibited exemplary workplace skills such as reliability, uniqueness of contribution, initiative, longevity, quality of work, professionalism, and adaptability. Student nominees also had to have at least a 2.0 GPG and have completed 100% of attempted credits from the fall semester to be eligible for the award. A selection committee reviewed the nominations in January and selected five students to receive the award. Chancellor Pugh presented the awards to the students in front of their friends, co-workers, and faculty members in the Fireweed Room. “We are proud of our student employees and appreciate all that they do to make our campus great!” said Career Services advisor Deb Rydman. She put together a PDF slideshow of student winners along with appreciative words from their supervisors.
