Title IX Training for Students

Instructions

Go directly to the UA Safe training through Blackboard. It is estimated that the course can be completed in 35–40 minutes.

Please note: You may have to allow or enable pop-ups for this site at the time you start the training presentation.

  1. Enroll in the training and move through the enrollment process
  2. Select Training on the left side menu
  3. Select the Title IX Training Module option

You will have completed the training when you reach the summary slide of the course. You can then exit the slide and verify your grade to ensure course completion.

How can I tell if I completed UA Safe — Title IX training?

  1. In Blackboard, select UAS or your campus’ tab at the top of the page.
  2. On the left menu, select My Grades
  3. The training will reflect as 100% complete when you are finished.

Who is required to complete the UA Safe — Title IX training?

All degree-seeking students required to complete Title IX training. This includes certificate, associate, bachelors, masters, PhDs. This also includes online and on-campus students. If you have questions about the training requirements contact the Acting Title IX Coordinator Chase Parkey at 907-796-6371.

What happens if I don't complete the training?

You will have a hold on your account and not be eligible to register for classes during the priority registration period. Classes fill up quickly, so please do not wait to take your training and miss the opportunity to register for classes early.

Please note: not all holds on accounts are due to training. Please work with your academic advisor to resolve registration holds.

To submit a request to be released from the training, please complete the UAS Title IX Training - Release Request form.
