What is the Technology Fee and How is it used?

fireweedThe Technology Fee is paid by most students taking classes that originate in Juneau. Much of the money generated by this fee is used to meet the ongoing infrastructure needs of computing, library and media services. Examples include the maintenance and updating of the hardware and software in the campus computer labs and the provision of equipment, technologies, and databases to the library and media services for the support of teaching and learning. If any technology fee money remains, it is set aside for the funding of approved special project proposals submitted by students, faculty and departments of UAS.
