How do you think UAS is preparing you for your future?
In the contemporary world, education is essential for any successful progression in society. Through rigorous studies offered at UAS, I hope to be accredited as a highly qualified teacher to bring the benefits of education to Alaska’s youth, especially Native Alaskans.
Do you know what you might be thinking of for a career after college?
Simple. High School History Teacher.
Do you have a favorite class or professor?
David Noon and Alexander Simon – History and Sociology – two highly interrelated disciplines of study.
WHY UAS?
It’s in my home state and scholarships allowed for me to attend a higher educational institution without going into debt.
What is the most surprising thing you’ve learned about yourself at UAS?
That I have the ability to excel in academia.
What surprised you the most once you arrived at UAS?
That it wasn’t High School anymore – Alice.
What was the most fun you’ve had at any campus event?
Native Oratory Contests.
What is the best thing about life at UAS?
Being near places of remote outdoor experiences.
What do you enjoy doing during your free time?
Hiking and community service projects.
