Why did you pick UAS for your exchange?

I wanted to go to Alaska and UAS was the only university from Alaska, which was on ISEP's list. It was a complete contrast to Tennessee Tech (where I was fall semester 2007) and I really needed that change.

Do you have a favorite class or professor?

Basket weaving was the best class and Janice Griswell really wanted me to learn the whole process of making spruce root baskets.

What is the most surprising thing you’ve learned about yourself at UAS?

Living on the other side of the world than your family is not as hard as I thought it could be.

What surprised you the most when you arrived at UAS?

That I was the only international exchange student at that moment.

What was the most fun you've had at any campus event?

Global Connections dinners.

What is the best thing about life at UAS?

Mountains, glaciers and all other nature wonders were really near by.

If you could choose three words that signify UAS, what would they be?

Picturesque, small (in a good way) and fascinating.

Other:

Studying in UAS as an exchange student was one of the best times  of  my life :)
