The Associate of Applied Science in Health Sciences prepares students to enter direct care careers, or to apply (transfer) to programs in nursing and other allied health professions.

The degree provides the foundation needed to understand modern health care delivery, and includes a base in required general courses, as well as a science core.

Completion of this degree prepares students for furthering their studies in a variety of professional health care and allied health programs, including nursing and emergency services.

The Associate of Applied Science in Health Sciences degree requires completion of English S111 and Math S105.

Placement test scores determine where students start in Math and English courses.

We recommend you take your placement tests in advance to assess your abilities. Knowing your English and Math skill levels is an important part of selecting the right courses for your choice of study.
