Exciting UAS Outdoor Studies Classes Open for Fall 2016

The Outdoor Studies program is pleased to offer courses in Rock Climbing, Sea Kayaking, Backpacking, and Backcountry Navigation and Travel, and academic courses in Outdoor Leadership and Environmental Philosophy.

The Outdoor Studies program is pleased to offer courses in Rock Climbing, Sea Kayaking, Backpacking, and Backcountry Navigation and Travel, and academic courses in Outdoor Leadership and Environmental Philosophy. The fall semester begins August 29, with courses spread throughout the fall semester.  Seats are still open in most classes, with minimal prerequisites needed for participation. For those snow-minded, Outdoor Studies is offering a professional Avalanche Level I class, per the American Avalanche Association standard, February 2-12, and an Avalanche Level II course, dates TBA.  In addition, spring ODS offerings include courses in Ice Climbing, Glacier Travel and Crevasse Rescue, Winter Backpacking, and Mountaineering, and academic courses in Outdoor Leadership and Environmental Literature.  The spring schedule will be available for public review November 1.
