Biography

Hello my name is Dylan, I was born and raised in Juneau, Alaska and have lived here ever since. I grew up loving the outdoors and continue to find inspiration and happiness in them. I am a UAS graduate where I completed the four year bachelors of arts in Geography and Environmental studies, I also completed the Outdoor Studies program, and a renewable energy occupational endorsement. Through my studies and life experiences, I have further deepened my relationship with the Earth by learning about its processes, and then seeing them take place in real time in the field. After my studies I have gone on to working for the Forest Service as a wilderness ranger in wilderness areas close to Juneau. Here at UAS I have had the pleasure and privilege to start teaching a few of the ODS classes such as winter backpacking, ice climbing, and glacier travel crevasse rescue. Teaching others how to safely enjoy and respect our grand environment here in Juneau is an honor. Thanks for reading!
