At the University of Alaska Southeast, Juneau, Ketchikan and Sitka, providing equal opportunities for students who experience disabilities is a campus wide responsibility and commitment.
Academic support services constitute an integral component of equalizing the post-secondary environment for students who experience disabilities. DSS Staff can provide further information about the services available.
Students who experience all kinds of disabilities are eligible for support services. Early planning is encouraged and necessary to allow DSS staff adequate time to arrange for support services. It is the student's responsibility to initiate contact with and provide the appropriate disability documentation to DSS.
