Sitka CampusThe Sitka campus, founded as Sitka Community College in 1962 and merged with UAS in 1987, shares in the community's heritage of being the former capital of Russian America. Sitka is rich in history and a popular tourist attraction. The campus awards departmental certificates of completion, certificates, associate of applied science and associate of arts degrees. The Sitka campus has also assumed administrative responsibility for the outreach programs of the University of Alaska Southeast.
