There are many styles for citations. I prefer students use the American Psychological Association (APA) style. A good general guide can be found on the University of Arizona site  http://www.library.arizona.edu/search/reference/citation-apa.html

A good guide for electronic citations can be found at http://www.apastyle.org/elecsource.html

Public managers must be proficient in their writing skills. There are many online grammar sites. Two examples are http://writing-program.uchicago.edu/resources/grammar.htm  and http://cctc.commnet.edu/grammar/

Students can get personal and online assistance in their writing from the UAS Writing Center.

When classes will require you to take proctored exams and you will need to submit a Examination Proctor Form.

There are a number of guides to help you read and write academic papers. One useful guide from Amanda Graham at Yukon College http://www.yukoncollege.yk.ca/~agraham/guides/guidec.shtml

There are many information sources both on the web and off. Some are good and some are not. A site from Cornell University helps to Critically Analyze Information Source

MPA students must become very familiar with the UAS library resources, particularly the Library Databases.

Students should make sure the computers they use have RealPlayersoftware, speakers and a sound card. Most newer computers already have these installed. If you do not, then get the free download at http://www.real.com/player/ and click on "Free Real Player" (in small print in the upper right hand corner.)

For most any other computer question, please contact the UAS Help Desk. This site also has a variety of other tools and instructions.
